Impact and diplomacy

Institutions listen to organised expertise. They do not listen to sentiment, and they should not.

Lubnan convenes senior Lebanese practitioners in finance, law, energy, health, infrastructure and public administration to produce evidenced positions on the questions that determine whether Lebanon can be invested in, worked in, and returned to. We publish that work under the names of the people who wrote it. We submit it to the institutions it concerns. We do not shout.

What we take positions on
Institutional and judicial reform, banking resolution and depositor treatment, investment and property conditions for non-resident Lebanese, mobility and consular access, recognition of the diaspora in Lebanese law, the terms on which capital can responsibly return.
What we do not do
Endorse candidates or parties, take positions on confessional questions, align with any faction, speak for any government.
Positions

Each position is one page: the question, the position, the reasoning, the evidence, and the named authors. Dated and versioned.
